Cockapoo Place Calendar 2013

Would anyone be interested in submitting photos for a 2013 Cockapoo Place Calendar? The photos would need to be taken with a camera rather than a phone in order to obtain a large file for best printing. The photos can be a new or previous shot. I had been thinking about putting together a calendar for a few weeks and when I saw the pool photo @tropicalpunch posted of Sophie it inspired me to see how many members would be interested. If there are enough members interested, I will go ahead soon and set up a special email to receive the photos as they would need to be large sized files. In order to have the calendars available for the holidays, I would need to receive all submissions by September 30, 2012. We would need several photo submissions in order to have appropriate photos for selection of months & seasonal times. Please post any ideas, thoughts or questions you may have about this project here in this forum.

Great idea! I was thinking I needed a new country music singer calander but this would be better! Tim and Kenny will have to wait.

I went ahead and set up an email address for photos to be submitted to:

cockapoocalendar@yahoo.com

Please don’t submit your photos through the website or post in your albums, we want the photos to debut in the calendar. Remember, use a digital camera for your photos in order to obtain a large high quality file. I can do minor editing such as cropping if the photo is off center and needs adjusting. If you have a great photo and the eye color is off, I can also usually “fix” this. Most photos unless you have very good lighting will need to be taken outside. When taking outside photos, watch for shadowing and to prevent, you may need to move around to avoid shadowing. We are looking for great backgrounds, but the focus should be on your Cockapoo.

When submitting photos, please include suggested months you feel your photo would be appropriate for. Every month has a holiday or season which backgrounds and or props can be included for picturing the celebration for a particular month.

Let’s get our imaginations, talents and creative juices going for this project! Of course, we already know we have excellent models!

Due to some computer issues and a family illness we are running a little behind on getting the calendar drafted. We are still in the process of working on layouts. Many thanks to everyone that has submitted photos!
